FALL RIVER, Mass., May 5, 2003— Lightolier is pleased to introduce the new SOLI line of ADA wall and ceiling mounted luminaries, from its Architectural Decorative division. The SOLI series represents Lightolier’s first entry into larger scale [up to 4 feet long] wall mounted sconces. This scalable luminaire series can be tailored to have a minimal look without reflectors/diffusers, or a refined look with an etched glass or acrylic reflector/diffuser.

The unique arrangement of the lamp chamber in the foreground, coupled with a curved, etched glass reflector/diffuser in the background, is designed to create a linear visual that truly complements all architectural elements. The lamp is hidden from direct view; however, it purposely allows for a thin, diffused streak of light to emanate from the front of the luminaire. Light reflects off, and diffuses through, the unique glass or acrylic reflector/diffuser, allowing light to be redirected into the space. A surrounding halo of light softly illuminates the mounting surface and eliminates dark shadows on the mounting plane.

The SOLI series is available in linear forms in nominal 2 foot, 3 foot and 4 foot lengths utilizing energy efficient T-5 lamps. The T-5 version can be ordered with soda lime glass or a translucent white acrylic reflector/diffuser. The four-foot T-5 version also comes in emergency and dimming versions.

Additionally, SOLI is available in a smaller (14 inch high by 10-inch wide) version utilizing the triple tube CF lamp with a universal socket and ballast. This unit can accommodate input voltages from 120 through 277 and 26 watt 4-pin quad tube or triple tube 26, 32 or 42 watt lamps. Dimming ballasts are available as a standard option.

The extruded aluminum lamp chamber and ballast housing with die-cast end caps are painted with a silver metallic powder coat finish to mimic a natural metal finish. The compact fluorescent series also has a die-cast ballast housing and front cover.
