FALL RIVER, Mass., May 5, 2003— Lightolier has expanded the Calculite Evolution line of specification grade commercial and residential downlights to include products that continue to define the highest level of sophistication in small aperture recessed downlighting.

Featured additions to the Calculite Evolution line in 2003 include:

• Line voltage remodel housing: The latest frame-in kit of the Evolution product line provides the ability to install the Evolution 4” product in existing drywall and plaster ceilings, from below the ceiling, and without the need to re-plaster or re-drywall. This will provide the lighting specifier with the flexibility to add Evolution line voltage units as the space continues to evolve.
• Open A lamp corner wall wash: This addition to the Evolution product line provides specifiers with a recessed luminaire that will light two adjoining walls in a corner with just one recessed fixture. This unit is provided in both the 4” and the 6” aperture.
• Open A lamp double wall wash: The addition to the Evolution product line provides specifiers with a recessed luminaire that will light two parallel walls of a corridor simultaneously with one recessed unit. This unit is provided in both the 4” and the 6” aperture.
• PAR30 Downlight cone in a 4” aperture: The PAR30 is a versatile, common and affordable lamp that provides significant light for both accent lighting and general illumination. This addition to the Calculite line shrouds the lamp in a better than 50 degree cut-off shielding to both the lamp, and the lamp image. The cone is also designed to provide a barrier to the exterior image imperfections that can be associated with this particular lamp. The Evolution PAR30 downlight is excellent combination of comfort and performance, in a visually pleasing four inch aperture.
