FALL RIVER, MASS. (January 22, 2001)— Lightolier has expanded the Calculite Evolution line of specification grade commercial and residential downlights to include energy efficient Compact Fluorescent products for insulated ceilings. Two new conversion kits allow triple tube Compact Fluorescent lamps to be used with existing Evolution Incandescent IC frames and standard Calculite trims.

The 4" aperture conversion kit uses an electronic ballast to operate an 18W Triple Tube lamp and is compatible with existing Calculite open downlight and wall wash trims. The 6" aperture conversion kit uses an electronic ballast to operate a 26W or 32W Triple Tube lamp and is compatible with existing Calculite open downlights, lensed downlights, open wall wash and lensed wall wash trims.

To eliminate interference with other electronic devices, both products meet the FCC standard section 18 limits for emitted and conducted electromagnetic radiation. The conversion kits may be installed in the Frame-In Kit prior to mounting or at any time afterwards. Existing incandescent fixtures can also be easily retrofit.

These versatile conversion kits allow Evolution to offer a new option for insulated ceiling applications that demand high-performance, energy-efficient downlighting.
